With games starting Tuesday night we'll have our player projections done before kickoff, right? Sorry boys and girls, it is just not possible. It is simply too short of a turnaround. However, we have crossed a few wires and bypassed a few circuits to spit out the projections for tonight's matchup between Middle Tennessee State and Troy.
A couple of words of warning here (or CYAs if you will). Any time a game looks too good to be true (Dasher against Troy's defense), is usually is just that. Also be very wary of the road team on a week night. While this is especially true of Thursday night games, it needs to be taken under consideration on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday as well. The home team is usually a little more fired up playing under the lights and the home fans always has a little more juice running through their veins. Factor in the odd travel schedule for the road team and it usually spells victory for the home team.
That said, the computer certainly doesn't see much defense being played in this game. And anytime you actually get to see your obscure quarterback (Dwight Dasher) play, you have to take advantage.
Fantasy Consideration:
QB Dwight Dasher, MDTSt - 23-of-43 for 317 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT / 17 rush atts for 59 yards and 1 TD
QB Levi Brown, Troy - 29-of-43 for 383 yards and 2 TDs / 4 rush atts for 4 yards
WR Jerrel Jernigan, Troy - 4 rush atts for 32 yards / 4 rec for 47 yards and 1 TD
