In this week's watch list we have two quarterbacks that we thought would win the starting job but didn't and now maybe have taken over anyway. Additionally we'll be checking out an injury fill-in and two stars that have left owners wondering where they've been.
QB Nick Foles, Arizona - In Nick Foles' first start he threw for 254 yards and three scores against Oregon State. This week all eyes will be on Jake Locker when the Wildcats roadie to Seattle to take on Washington. But I'll be watching the strong-armed Foles.
QB Grant Gregory, Kansas St. - While Bill Snyder hasn't come out and said it, we're not fooled. You don't win Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors one week and hold the clipboard the next. The Red Raiders have given up over 300 yards passing in their last two games. True one of those games was against Houston. The other one? New Mexico.
RB Eddie Wide, Utah -There are not many options in the Utes backfield so that means Wide will go from backup to 20 carries a game in a flash. Let's see what he does with them.
RB Charles Scott, LSU -From high round draft pick, to fullback, to cutting room floor to the game winning touchdown against Georgia, Scott has had quite the season. If the round mound of touchdown can bulldoze his way past the Gators' defense, it will mark that he is officially back.
WR Arrelious Benn, Illinois - Will a change of QBs make a difference?
