Happy Labor Day all. There are still a couple games to be played before we can close out Week One, but here is a look at the top waiver picks for the upcoming week.  If you're looking for more, check out our Waiver Wire page which lists last week's top performers along with % owned information from Athlon.  And we have our Week Two player projections up.

BCS

Denard Robinson, QB, Michigan - There was a lot of hype surrounding Shoelace this spring, and he was as good as advertised against UConn.  Tate Forcier appears to be sulking and out of the picture.  If he can stay healthy, Robinson's speed should be deadly in Rich Rodriquez's offense.

Michael Egnew, TE, Missouri - 10 catches against Illinois...enough said

Edwin Baker, RB, Michigan State - Larry Caper will likely sit out again and Baker plays Florida Atlantic in Week Two on the Ford Field turf.  He's going to have to watch out for freshman Le'Veon Bell vulturing carries though.  Keep an eye on Caper's status as well.

Lyle Leong, WR, Texas Tech - A favorite of ours last year, quite simply he's been inconsistent.  Leong and Detron Lewis looked to be Taylor Potts' favorite targets against SMU on Sunday.  Whether or not that trend continues is anyone's guess, but you may as well put Leong on your roster.

Duane Bennett, RB, Minnesota - Fullback Jon Hoese got all the glory, but Bennett did all the work with 30 carries for 187 yards.  The lack of touchdowns is a concern, but if he continues to get 20+ carries a game, the scores will come.  He'll get in the end zone this week against South Dakota State.

Brandon Saine, RB, Ohio State - He only had eight carries last week, but he seemed to the preferred back early on.  Stash him on your roster now and see what happens this week.

Taylor Martinez, QB, Nebraska - Nebraska made a change at quarterback, and it looks to be for the better. Martinez has old-school Huskers fans salivating with 127 yards rushing and three touchdowns on the ground.

Jheranie Boyd, WR, North Carolina - I'm not ready to commit to quarterback T.J. Yates just yet, but picking up Boyd and seeing if he isn't a fluke in the upcoming week seems like a good move.

Non-BCS

Dominique Davis, QB ECU - Sure it was against Tulsa, but ECU's new offense looked to be in mid-season form and Davis looked very comfortable.  He should have a big year.

David Isabelle, QB, UAB - One of our top sleeper quarterbacks for 2010 had a grandiose opening game, setting a UAB rushing record for a quarterback with 214 yards.  Are we still worried about his arm and slight frame? Yes.  But there is no question the kid can run.

Bobby Rainey, RB, W. Kentucky - 155 yards and a score against Nebraska.  I think the questions about Rainey have been answered.

Ryan Colburn, QB, Fresno State - This one was pretty easy to see heading into the season.  With no Ryan Mathews to lean upon, Colburn is going to be asked to throw more.  He had four touchdowns against Cincinnati last week.

Jerry Davis QB, Buffalo -Much like ECU, Jeff Quinn's new offense was clicking early.
