Complete Week Four Player Rankings & Projections l More Sit & Starts
Like the Quarterback Start List for Week Four, there are some under-the-radar options at tailback. Injuries are beginning to mount, and owners are already scouring the waiver wire in search of legitimate options. I've got a few pearls, and a few bigger names to pass on.
Last Week's Running Back Starts (points in parenthesis):
Darius Willis (7), Daniel Thomas (30), Edwin Baker (15), Marcus Lattimore (16), Bobby Rainey (24), Zach Line (9), Eddie Wide (3), Doug Martin (21)
Week Four Start Average: 16. Willis is the killer. Still decent week. B+
Last Week's Running Back Sits (points in parenthesis):
John Clay (18), Duane Bennett (1), Tauren Poole (5), Bryce Beall (5), Sam McGuffie (8), Thomas Merriweather (0)
Week Four Sit Average: 6.2 Not too shabby. A-
Start Em! Running Backs
BCS-Only
1. Adam Robinson, Iowa vs. Ball State
Not only is there no Jewel, but there's no Paki O'Meara! Robinson will run wild against the Cardinals.
2. Alexander Robinson, Iowa State vs. Northern Iowa
He's averaging 16 carries per game, and Robinson will make em count against the Fighting Farokhmanesh's

3. Keith Payne, Virginia vs. VMI
I like Charlottesville, and Keith Payne is seeing regular carries. Two good reasons, eh? VMI will present plenty of open spaces.
4. Marc Tyler, USC at Washington State
Loving Tyler's chances to score twice in Pullman this week.
All-120
1. Ronnie Hillman, SDSU vs. Utah State
The #1 back on our board this week, Hillman will run against a mediocre Utah State defense. He's seeing carries and he's getting it done, even against a Big 12 defense (23-228-2 at Mizzou).
2. Donald Buckram, UTEP vs. Memphis
He's back and chomping at the bit. Memphis is 99th in total defense.
3. Asher Clark, Air Force at Wyoming
Clark has run well against BYU and Oklahoma, but he's been held out of the endzone. Granted they've played Texas and Boise, but Wyoming has been gashed on the ground.
4. Orleans Darkwa, Tulane at Houston
Youngster has run well in his first two games, and if you're desperate for a sleeper then Darkwa is a great play.
Sit Em! Running Backs
BCS Only
1. Dion Lewis, Pitt vs. Miami
Lewis will turn it around...just not this week.
2. Marcus Lattimore, South Carolina at Auburn
Game has 17-16 written all over it.
3. Da'Rel Scott/Davin Meggett, Maryland vs. FIU
FIU has their own against Rutgers and Texas A&M, two offenses that bring more to the table than Maryland.
All-120
1. Bernard Pierce, Temple at Penn State
Alabama has run on Penn State. Temple is not Alabama, and Pierce will struggle.
2. Branden Oliver, Buffalo at UConn
At some point the Huskies D has to stop someone...right?
3. Willie Geter, Bowling Green at Michigan
I know the Wolverine defense has looked horrible at times, however following a putrid performance against UMASS they'll be poised to show they're ready for Big Ten play.
