Emory Blake, WR, Auburn  - Auburn wide receiver Emory Blake has missed Wednesday's practice which would normally mean he couldn't play on Saturday, but receivers coach Trooper Taylor says Blake is different and could play if given clearance.  ...more

Geraldo Boldewijn, WR, Boise State  - Boise State wide receiver  Geraldo Boldewijn will be eligible to play this weekend against Fresno State, this according to head coach Chris Peterson.  ...more

John Brantley, QB, Florida  - It has been reported that Florida quarterback John Brantley suffered a high ankle sprain against Alabama and is expected to sit against LSU.  ...more

Bryce Brown, RB, Kansas State  - Kansas State running back Bryce Brown is leaving the team and plans on entering the 2012 NFL Draft, according to Knoxville radio host Jimmy Hyams on Twitter.  ...more

Eugene Cooper, WR, Bowling Green  - Bowling Green wide receiver  Eugene Cooper has been cleared by the NCAA, and he'll be back on the field Saturday at Western Michigan.  ...more

Nick Fanuzzi, QB, Rice  - Rice quarterback Taylor McHargue was benched in favor of Nick Fanuzzi after the offense struggled in the second half against Southern Miss.  ...more

Michael Ford, RB, LSU  - LSU running back Michael Ford fumbled against Kentucky and saw limited carries afterwards.  If Ford cannot hold onto the ball, expect Les Miles to share the wealth even more between Spencer WareAlfred Blue, and Terrance Magee.  ...more

Trey Franks, WR, Oklahoma  - Oklahoma wide receiver Trey Franks, who was suspended after the first game of the season for violating a team policy, tweeted that he will be reinstated in time for Saturday's game against Texas. ...more

Garrett Gilbert, QB, Texas  - Texas quarterback Garrett Gilbert was seen at SMU practice today and rumors are swirling that he is transferring to the school.  ...more

Ryan Grant, WR, Tulane  - Tulane wide receiver Ryan Grant, who was on the Biletnikoff Watch list, will likely miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery for a sports hernia.  ...more

Donte Harden, RB, Ohio  - Ohio quarterback Tyler Tettleton and running back Donte Harden are expected to play this week against Buffalo. Tettleton suffered a leg bruise last week, and Harden has been out the last two weeks with a leg injury.  ...more

Kendrick Hardy, RB, Southern Miss  - While there is no sense of what the injury is, Southern Miss running back  Kendrick Hardy is questionable for the Week 6 game against Navy.  ...more

Montel Harris, RB, Boston College  - Boston College running back  Montel Harris has some swelling in his surgically repaired knee, and will sit out Saturday against Clemson.  ...more

Daniel Herron, RB, Ohio State  - Ohio State wide receiver DeVier Posey and running back Daniel Herron will miss the game against Nebraska this Saturday due to allegations of excessive compensation from a summer job.  ...more

Ray Holley, RB, Louisiana Tech  - Louisiana Tech running back Ray Holley injured his back against Mississippi State and missed Saturday's game against Hawaii. Holley is now likely to miss the rest of the season, and Louisiana Tech will seek a medical redshirt for the senior.  ...more

LaMichael James, RB, Oregon  - Oregon running back LaMichael James said he dislocated his elbow but was able to pop it back in on the field. "I panicked. It was out so I popped it back in," James said. "Even if I don’t play (against Arizona State next week), we have tremendous backs, I don’t think we’ll miss a beat."  ...more

Jordan Jefferson, QB, LSU  - Now that LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson is back with the team, the senior signal caller wants his old job back.  Jefferson says he and  Jarrett Lee are friends, but that his personal goal is to become, once again, the starting quarterback for the Tigers.  ...more

Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama  - Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley is not the only player on the mend as a lingering toe injury for  Eddie Lacy has him in a walking boot this week.  ...more

Tyler Lantrip, QB, Nevada  - It appeared Nevada freshman quarterback  Cody Fajardo would start against Boise State, but he wound up being a late scratch due to an injury to his non-throwing shoulder.  Tyler Lantrip started the game and struggled throughout.  ...more

Marshall Lobbestael, QB, Wash State  - Marshall Lobbestael will continue to start for Washington State. That's the word from coach  Paul Wulff in the aftermath of finding out that season-opening starter Jeff Tuel had been cleared for practice.  ...more

E.J. Manuel, QB, Florida State  - Despite practicing fully this week, Florida State quarterback  E.J. Manuel is being called a game-time decision for Saturday's match up with Wake Forest.  ...more

Cameron Marshall, RB, Arizona St  - Arizona State's offensive line could be without two starters this weekend against Utah. Starting left tackle Evan Finkenberg suffered a knee injury last week against Oregon State and has had surgery that will put him out the rest of the season. Additionally, starting center Garth Gerhart is dealing with an ankle injury that has him questionable for the game.  ...more

Darrin Moore, WR, Texas Tech  - Texas Tech receiver Darrin Moore has been practicing, but in a limited capacity. “I think we might have a chance to get something out of him Saturday,” coach  Tommy Tuberville said Wednesday. “He ran some yesterday. He ran a few routes yesterday. He’s getting a lot better every day. Both knees are better. It’s just the ankle’s a little bit sore.”  ...more

Jeremiah Ostrowski, WR, Hawaii  - Hawaii wide receiver Jeremiah Ostrowski (foot) has missed the past 4 games, but is expected to play against San Jose State.  ...more

Dan Persa, QB, Northwestern  - In an interview with ESPN, quarterback  Dan Persa says his Achilles is feeling good. "I'm feeling real good, a lot better than I did last week. So hopefully it will just keep getting better every week." ...more

Verlon Reed, WR, Ohio State  - Ohio State wide receiver Verlon Reed tore his ACL during an onside kick attempt last week, and with  DeVier Posey's future in limbo, the Buckeyes are razor thin at the position.  ...more

Taveon Rogers, WR, New Mexico St  - New Mexico State leading receiver Taveon Rogers dressed but didn't play in the high-scoring win over New Mexico. Rogers was probable to play, but in his absence freshman  Austin Franklinstepped up with 115 yards and a score.  ...more

Brandon Rutley, RB, San Jose St  - San Jose State running back  Brandon Rutley has been on a tear lately but, after injuring his ankle against Colorado State, is considered a game-time decision for the contest against BYU.  Coach Mike McIntyre said Rutley won't need to practice all week to be cleared.  ...more

Anthon Samuel, RB, Bowling Green  - Bowling Green running back  Anthon Samuel is expected to play Saturday against Western Michigan.  ...more

Connor Shaw, QB, South Carolina  - South Carolina will start Connor Shaw  at quarterback Saturday against Kentucky, over embattled senior  Stephen Garcia. ...more

Alexander Teich, RB, Navy  - Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo said fullback Alexander Teich will likely not play against Southern Miss. He apparently broke team rules.   ...more

Eric Thomas, WR, Troy  - Troy wide receiver Eric Thomas was helped off the field against UAB with an apparent leg injury, but the Dothan Eagle reports that it was just leg cramps.  ...more

Mike Trumpy, RB, Northwestern  - Northwestern running back Mike Trumpy will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL suffered against Illinois. ...more

Spencer Ware, RB, LSU  - While Les Miles praised the efforts of Alfred Blueand  Terrence Magee in the win over Kentucky, the team's main ball carrier,Spencer Ware, should be able to go this Saturday against Florida.  ...more

Andre Williams, RB, Boston College  - Boston College running back  Andre Williams (ankle) is "iffy" to play Saturday against Clemson, according to head coach Frank Spaziani.  ...more

Jordan Wynn, QB, Utah  - The injury to Utah quarterback Jordan Wynn's non-throwing shoulder will keep him out two to three weeks, according to the Utah medical staff.  ...more
