Signing day 2012 is in the rearview mirror. Did your alma mater land that 5-star stud? Who had the biggest haul? Who are the top prospects in the this class? And more importantly, are there any noteworthy signings for fantasy owners?

Over the next week we'll be taking a look at the running back, quarterback and wide receiver classes. As general rule of thumb: you should only be considering true freshmen in keeper leagues or conference-specific leagues with limited talent pools. For the rest, consider this is a cursory look at players that could potentially have an impact down the road.

Opportunity for Early PT

Gunner Kiel, Notre Dame - 6'4" - 220 (1 PRO, 1 QB, 3 QB, 1 PRO) - I think it is time to give up on The Tommy Rees experiment. Kiel is on campus early and is the number one quarterback recruit in the country.

Anthony Alford, Southern Miss - 6'1" - 205 (5 DUAL, 10 QB, 10 ATH, 3 DUAL) - Four-year starter Austin Davis must be replaced.

Bart Houston, Wisconsin - 6'4" - 201 (12 PRO, 7 QB, 15 QB, 7 PRO) - Not exactly a hotbed for fantasy quarterbacks, but injuries have left the Badgers thin at quarterback.

Connor Brewer, Texas - 6'2" - 195 (10 PRO, 11 QB, 7 QB, 5 PRO) - Neither David Ash or Case McCoy grabbed the bull by the horns last season.

Tanner Mangum, BYU - 6'3" - 195 (3 PRO, 15 QB, 11 QB, 4 PRO) - The Cougars lose two senior quarterbacks and the formerly highly-touted Jake Heaps. UPDATE: Starting is Mormon mission before enrolling, won't be on campus till 2014.

Jeremy Liggins, LSU - 6'3" - 270 (16 DUAL, 19 QB, 12 ATH, 9 ATH) - Co-starters Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee depart. Zach Mettenberger will get his chance. If it doesn't work, Liggins could be thrust into action.

Preston Dewey, Miami (FL) - 6'3" - 205  (NR PRO, 65 QB, 21 QB, 42 PRO) - Dewey and Gary Crow are both on campus. This is going to be an incredibly young team, might as well start fresh with a young quarterback.

Keeper League Specials

Zach Kline, California - 6'2" - 210 (2 PRO, 4 QB, 2 QB, 2 PRO) - On campus for spring ball and will try to unseat Zach Maynard.

Jameis Winston, Florida St. - 6'4" - 200 (1 DUAL, 2 QB, 1 QB, 1 DUAL)

Jake Rodrigues, Oregon - 6'3" - 210 (5 PRO, 17 QB, 12 QB, 16 PRO)

Ford Childress, West Virginia - 6'4" - 210 (14 PRO, 26 QB, 8 QB, 6 PRO) - On campus early

Trevor Knight, Oklahoma - 6'3" - 195 (6 DUAL, 22 QB, 22 QB, 8 PRO)

Wes Lunt, Oklahoma St. - 6'5" - 210 (7 PRO, 21 QB, 42 QB, 12 PRO)

Austin Apodaca, Washington St. - - (NR PRO, 58 QB, 111 QB, 26 DUAL)

Matt Davis, Texas A&M - 6'2" - 202 (3 DUAL, 6 QB, 6 QB, 5 DUAL) - On campus early

Devin Fuller, UCLA - 6'0" - 185 (3 ATH, 3 QB, 7 ATH, 4 ATH)

Cyler Miles, Washington - 6'4" - 220 (2 DUAL, 13 QB, 10 QB, 2 DUAL)

Chad Kelly, Clemson - 6'3" - 208 (4 DUAL, 20 QB, 4 QB, 4 DUAL)

Maty Mauk, Missouri - 6'2" - 185 (20 PRO, 14 QB, 16 QB, 11 DUAL)

Neal Burcham, SMU - 6'3" - 175  (NR PRO, 86 QB, 20 QB, 43 PRO)

Javelle Allen, Arizona - 6'1" - 207 (NR DUAL, 81 QB, 26 QB, 29 DUAL)
