With spring practice in the rear view mirror, you'll likely notice some changes in our player rankings. A few new names have crept up into the top 50 positional rankings and a few have been dropped down a notch or two. So be sure to give the rankings a fresh look.
One thing you'll notice is two quartebacks from Oregon and two Washington State locked together in the rankings as this spring did little to help resolve these pivotal fantasy positions. Marcus Mariota has pulled (at least) even with Brian Bennett at Oregon and Wazzu's Connor Halliday -- recovering from a lacerated liver -- was knocked out early after taking a shot to the side. Even though Jeff Tuel has to be considered the favorite to win the job, coach Mike Leach said the two will resume the battle this summer. Unfortunately these battles will likely linger into late August.
We've also been tweaking the sleepers & keepers, uploaded our ease of schedule calculation, returning starters and schedule data. Be sure to check it out.
We've been updating rankings on the fly as news filtered in this spring. But with 120...uhhh... 124 teams to keep up with, it's not easy. We are now going through each team's spring notes and formulating our projections and player previews. We expect them to be complete some time in June. In the meantime we will continue to tweak, so expect the rankings to be in constant motion.
