We continue to roll out, update, tweak, edit and revisit our projections and previews prior to your fantasy draft. And while doing so we're going to occasionally take a more-detailed look at some of the nation's more intriguing stars for 2012.

The players featured over the next month or so may not be the top player at their respective positions, but they'll be ones that caused the most discussion around our roundtable or appear poised for a breakout or letdown campaign.

Breakdowns of college football's top offensive stars can of course be found in the CFFInsider.com 2012 Draft Kit.

Bryn Renner, QB, North Carlonia

2012 Position Rank: Is Renner the top QB in the ACC?

2012 Draft Kit Preview:

Completing 68% of his passes for over 3,000 yards and 26 touchdowns is not a bad way to spend one's redshirt sophomore season. And when you factor in fast-paced Larry Fedora's arrival as new coach, Renner is an even more inviting prospect heading into 2012. There may not be too many duos better than Gio Bernard and Bryn Renner, and an explosive offense is the expectation. A non-conference slate that includes Elon, East Carolina and Idaho to go with Louisville hardly strikes fear in the heart. Reach for Renner. He's going to put up some really big games.

Extended Analysis:

Renner is "that guy" in this year's draft. The "sleeper" that everyone knows about and will be drafted very early. In fact some IT guy in your league will take a swig of Oberon before his 3rd round selection, yell out "Bryn Renner Beyotches!" and then wait for cries of "Oh man...what a great pick!" and "I was going to nab him next round...DAMN YOU STEVE!"

Now, I'm not sitting here saying that Renner is going to disappoint, just that if you want him you're gonna have to reach a bit. This is a talented quarterback coming off a terrific campaign and he now plays for a coach that wants to run an offensive play every five seconds or so.

Fedora can coach offense. And he will work with some serious talent for a team that cannot play in a bowl game. Every regular season game will be their bowl game.

Final Thought:

Steve will not be getting a sleeper, but he may be getting a guy who will finish among the Top 10 BCS quarterbacks. The schedule is tasty, and there will be many points scored. Draft Bryn Renner
