On Thursday we kicked off the first in a series of mock drafts on our show that airs every Thursday night on the Fantasy Sports Channel. Up first was a conglomerate of all the non-BCS and Independent conferences with special guest drafter Graham Watson from ESPN.com. We'll be following this draft up with a separate draft for each of the BCS conferences in the coming weeks.

Along with the draft, we had the chance to ask Graham a number of burning questions surrounding the schools from those 'other' conferences. A few highlights include:

- Potential replacements for Rice TE James Casey and WR Jarett Dillard

- Outlook for Navy's offense and QB Ricky Dobbs

- An in-depth look at how much time WR Emmanuel Sanders will play on defense this fall for SMU

- And some surprising insight into Memphis and QB Arkelon Hall...get the full scoop by listening to the archived show.

Mock Draft Results

Oh course it wasn't all pleasantries. We had serious business to attend to and Graham displayed some moxie, kicking things off by selecting the TCU defense with the first pick. A very cagey move considering the 'defense optional' nature of the leagues we were dealing with and the wealth of talent at the skill positions. It was clear Graham wasn't going to be intimidated by the fantasy geeks in her company.

Not surprisingly, Brian followed with QB Case Keenum of Houston, and then came the obligatory run on running backs. The order may be a bit of a surprise as it certainly didn't follow the script laid out by our preseason rankings.

With limited rosters, a number of top names went undrafted. A few notables left out in the cold during our shortened draft extravaganza included Trevor Vittatoe, Dan LeFevour, Max Hall, Eugene Jarvis, Harvey Unga, the running back twins from Nevada, Damaris Johnson, L.J. Castile, Kris Adams and the aforementioned Emmanuel Sanders.

The days are getting longer boys and girls, and this can only mean one thing, right? Draft day is approaching.
