Pac 10 Training Table

One week is in the books and the conference came away relatively unscathed. All of the starting quarterbacks in the league made it through the weekend but some of the skill players weren’t so lucky. Here are the players that are nursing injuries headed into next weekend.

Arizona State WR Gerell Robinson warmed up but was unable to play due to a lingering hamstring issue last weekend. The Sun Devils may not need him against Northern Arizona so make plans to go with someone else unless he resumes practicing by Wednesday.

Oregon State TE Joe Halahuni suffered a bruised shoulder against TCU but it is considered minor in nature. The Beavers have a bye this weekend so should be ready to go against Louisville in two weeks.

Stanford WR Chris Owusu missed last weekend’s game with an undisclosed injury but head coach Jim Harbaugh expects him to suit up in the conference opener this weekend against UCLA. Check back this week because if he resumes practicing he is a must-start in Pac 10 leagues with the way that Andrew Luck threw the ball against Sacramento State.

Stanford TE Levine Toilolo is expected to be out for an extended period of time after suffering an undisclosed injury on the fourth play from scrimmage Saturday. There is no word on the type and severity of the injury but Harbaugh said that it “made him sick to his stomach.” Words like that probably mean it will be awhile before we see Toilolo again this season.

Washington WR James Johnson (hamstring) suited up against BYU but head coach Steve Sarkisian felt that he just wasn’t ready to play. There is a chance that he returns this week against Syracuse.

Washington State WR Jared Karstetter suffered a concussion and bruised ribs in the first quarter last weekend after absorbing a viscous hit from an Oklahoma State linebacker. Concussions are always tricky so it might be a couple of weeks before we see him in game action again.

Washington State WR Gino Simone was held out of the Oklahoma State game with a hamstring injury. He tried to go but was unable and his status for next weekend is still uncertain.

Washington State RB Rickey Galvin suffered a broken arm on his first collegiate carry during the first quarter of the Cougars loss to Oklahoma State. He put his arm out to brace his fall and it snapped. Tough break for the talented freshman.
