Arkansas vs. Lousiana-Monroe
Main Course... Ryan Mallett. This is Louisiana-Monroe's season opener and it will start of with a bang. However, that bang is coming from Mallett's cannon of an arm as you can expect him to light up the Warhawk secondary to the turn of 3+ touchdowns. The Warhawks have shown the capability to stay with teams that they shouldn't which will give Mallett and Co. all the more reason to keep winging it late into the game.
Seconds... Joe Adams. Adams showed last week that he was a favorite target of Mallett's and whenever Mallett has success, you can believe that Adams is to follow. Adams will not match his stat line of last week but he should have around 80+ yards receiving and at least one touchdown if not two. The Warhawks have a speedster in Luther Ambrose but scrimmaging against him will not prepare them for Adams' blend of speed and jitterbug moves.
Kentucky vs. Western Kentucky
Main Course... Randall Cobb. Cobb shredded his archrival by passing, receiving, rushing, and handling returns. Expect Cobb to put it on against the Hilltoppers. Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez gouged the Western Kentucky defense to the tune of 127 yards and three touchdowns on just seven carries so you can expect Cobb to be especially dangerous taking direct snaps.
Seconds... Derrick Locke. If the Wildcat offense does well, it is only because Cobb and Locke do well. So where Cobb succeeds, Locke succeeds.
Ole Miss vs. Tulane
Main Course... Ole Miss defense. I know the Rebels defense gave up 49 points to lowly Jacksonville State but against Tulane, the defense has something to prove and will come out playing nasty. The Rebels get star defensive end Kentrell Lockett back and will pressure the Green Wave to no end. Ole Miss will play well against Tulane and it will start on this side of the ball.
Seconds... Brandon Bolden. Bolden will get his carries and against the marshmallow defense of Tulane, he will shred them on the ground. Expect Bolden to eclipse 120 yards rushing as well as at least one big catch.
