League Info:  HIGH SCHOOL FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

I have started the first HIGH SCHOOL FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE this year and am looking for teams. Over ten thousand teams to choose from.

You will start the following each week:

45 qbs
75 rbs
75 wrs
25 kickers
50 def.

Every player must be on the team's varsity roster at the start of the season. No substitutions for injuries or academic suspensions.

The games are played on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons.

I will personally be doing the scoring by hand for all games throughout the country. (Scoring for the previous week should be completed by no later than the following Thursday)

I am also considering starting the league as a keeper league which would allow you to draft certain talented middle school players to keep for the subsequent seasons. (I will explain later how the keeper system works)

The league entry fee is $5,000.00 which will cover my time to search every local newspaper throughout the country for boxscores.

I am limiting the amount of teams in the league to 16, which will be split up into four different divisions.

Currently, including my team, I have 15 available spots.

If interested please contact me immediately at dbrill@dbwlaw.com.

League Info:  12 MEN ON THE FIELD LEAGUE (play 12 starters per week)

The league is unique because it is a NON-TRANSACTION LEGAUE. We draft a Large Roster of 34 players (5 QBs, 8 RB’s 10 WR’s, 4 TE’s, 4 Kickers, 3 DEFENSE UNITS. That is all done before the season begins (of course). Once the season begins (August 28th) all Rosters are Frozen and there are NO FREE AGENT PICK UPS, NO TRADES (no draft pick trades), and there is no DL/ INJURY replacement picks ups. -The Roster size was designed to withstand BYE WEEKS and INJURIES.

What does a NON-TRANSACTION LEAGUE DO FOR YOU? Gives you a fair shot . . .everyone is in the same boat. You won’t need to be at your computer searching the results of every game; looking for “hidden/or rather obvious” Gems to Free Agent pickup. Your opponents are not ALLOWED to pick up a Different DEF UNIT every week (which NEGATES the point of DRAFTING Elite DEF UNITS onto rosters at all!). THERE ARE SIMPLY TOO MANY QUALITY FREE AGENTS TO BE PICKED UP WEEKLY TO ALLOW “WIDE OPEN” FREE AGENCY IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL. If you want that type of league, it is simple to find . . Just go to WWW.USPORTS.COM and join a public league as these are leagues with just the most basic rules and point systems. You’ve got to be a Free Agent hound to win these type of leagues . Because of the mass of quality players that remain undrafted in 10-16 team leagues . . . .Leagues either limit the talent pool (say only the BCS conference schools), or they have a ton of fantasy teams in the league (say 32), or limit the amount of Free Agent moves (say 10). All these leagues will still have you at your computer … searching the for good FAs every week. Even when limited to a small amount, you’ll still be searching wondering “when should I use 1 of my few moves and on who?“ That is why I have gone the step further (limiting FA moves is the best of the above ideas) , To DRAFT Large Rosters so that you that Free Agency can be banned once the season starts (the result saves you TIME). This league is designed for the guy in multiple leagues (still in Baseball, and starting NFL as well and/or another college league). If you don’t have to worry about ANY Roster changes by anyone in the league once the season starts. . .then you just have your 34 players to manage (& have a deep enough roster to make PLAY/SIT interesting). NOW YOU CAN PLAY COLLEGE FOOTBALL, with every chance on winning the league without having to invest your life into weekly research , Trade offers and trying to keep up with the “free agent JONES‘” who are hounding the Free Agent wire constantly!

TEAMS = 10 FANTASY TEAMS split into 2 divisions. It is a WEEKLY HEAD TO HEAD match up with a regular season of 13 weeks and the playoffs taking place weeks 14 & 15.

ROSTER POSITIONS: 5 QBs, 8 RB’s 10 WR’s, 4 TE’s, 4 Kickers, 3 Def Units = 34 total

Weekly starting lineup: 2 QB’s 3 RB’s 4 WR’s 1 TE, 1 Kicker, 1 def unit = 12 Starters
All Division 1 players are eligible to be drafted and every player may be used in any of his 12/13 games.
There are no opponent restrictions. (can play vs. a D-2 school)

**P O I N T S Y S T E M **
Fractional points are given so that every yard/reception/completion is rewarded equally before bonuses.
There are added bonuses for game-breaking performances and reaching milestone yardage markers. The points are communilative-so players collect each bonus point as they surpass each milestone . .example: if your QB throws for 400+ yards . . He reached and passed all milestones and gets 8 fantasy bonus points)

2 Point Coverts: Passing, Rushing & Receiving = 4 fantasy points (most people give 2)
(I think they are far more difficult/ more important than their real-life point value)

Passing: No. of Completions = 0.10 /each comp. Yards = 0.05 (20yards = 1 point)
Passing QB: T Ds = 4 points (they get 6 for a Rush T D as you would expect)
Interceptions (-1) per INTERCEPTION (plus once a QB throws #2 in a game a negative bonus comes into play. If he throws 1 INT (you end up with -1), with his second (that is (-3) total or 1.5per INT, and with his third he gets (-6) or (-2) per INT

PASS YARDAGE MILESTONE MARKERS:
+1 bonus point for reaching 250 total passing yard
+1 bonus point for reaching 275 total passing yards
+2 bonus points for reaching 300 total passing yards (the gold standard for QB’s)
+1 bonus point for reaching 325 total passing yards (note a bonus after 400y would make
+1 bonus point for reaching 350 total passing yards G Harrell(texTech) too powerful-and
+1 bonus point for reaching 375 total passing yards reward teams for NOT RUNNING)
+1 bonus point for reaching 400 total passing yards (a bonus after this would be overkill)

Rushing: No. of Rushes = ZerO Yards = 0.10 of a point T Ds = 6
RUSHING YARDAGE MILESTONES:
+1 bonus point for reaching 50 total rushing yards(low mark benefits RUNQB/slash plyrs)
+2 bonus points for reaching 100 total rushing yards (the gold standard of rushing)
+1.5 bonus points for reaching 125 total rushing yards
+1.5 bonus points for reaching 150 total rushing yards
+1 bonus point for reaching 175 total rushing yards
+1 bonus point for reaching 200 total rushing yards

Receiving: No. of Receptions= 0.10 Yards =0.10 of a point T Ds = 6
RECEIVING YARDAGE MILESTONES:
+1 bonus point for reaching 50 total receiving yards (low mark benefits slash players,
+1 bonus point for reaching 70 total receiving yards receiving RBs, TE’s as well
+2 bonus points for reaching 100 total receiving yards (the gold standard of Rec.)
+1 bonus point for reaching 125 total receiving yards as it creates a sm. separation
+1 bonus point for reaching 150 total receiving yards B/T low/average WR stat days.)
+1 bonus point for reaching 175 total receiving yards
+1 bonus point for reaching 200 total receiving yards

LONG TOUCHDOWN PLAY BONUS: (a play must result in a T D to bonus)
+2 bonus points for Scoring a TD from 40+ yards away for rush, receiving, and passing
+2 bonus points for Scoring a TD from 80+ yards away for rush, receiving, and passing
(so an 80 yard Rush/rec TD is worth 10 points 6+2(40 yard bonus), +2 (hit the 80 yard bonus)
A QB would score an 8 point TD for an 80+ yard pass)

Ind. Special Teams T Ds: Punt Returns = 8 Kickoff Returns = 10

Kicker Points: Field Goals 0-29 yards = 4 30-39 yards = 5 40-49 yards = 8
50+ yards = 10 Extra Point = ZERO points in this league (thus the higher FG points)
+1 bonus point for reaching 2 total FGs/gm +1 bonus point for reaching 3 total FGs/gm
+1 bonus point for reaching 4 total FGs/gm +1 bonus point for reaching 5 total FGs/gm
+1 bonus point for reaching 6 total FGs/gm +1 bonus point for reaching 7 total Fgs/gm
(note Kickers are not more valuable by these points, just a different group of Kicker are valuable (guys who kick a lot of Field Goals/for long distance) By this system, UAB’s kicker Swayze Waters (what a great name!) is the top returning kicker in the nation . . He hit 8-10 from +40, and 3-4 from +50!(22 total FG) But UAB is so bad (only 21 extra points) that he won’t make 99% of fantasy leagues out there! (I haven’t seen a league that doesn’t credit an ex. Point He(& his kind) are in this league without question!

Defense UNITS (not def/sp tm units): Defensive T Ds = 9 Punt Return T Ds and Kickoff Return T Ds =ZERO for the defense (points go to the individual player who made the T D) Safeties = 5 Fumbles =3 Interceptions = 3 Sacks = 1
Points Allowed: 0 (a shutout) =15 fantasy points 2-6 =10 fantasy points
7-10 = 8 fantasy points 11-13= 6 fantasy points
14-21= 4 fantasy points22-28= 2 fantasy points
29-34= 0 Fantasy points 35+= ( -6) fantasy points
+1 bonus point for every 3 sacks by a defensive unit in a game(3s=1. 6s=2, 9s=3)

*******THE LIVE DRAFT / THE pre-season FREE AGENT DRAFT(2nd half of the draft)******

THE LIVE DRAFT is scheduled for: SATURDAY-AUGUST 16th 9:30 pm e.s.t.

THE ALL IMPORTANT DRAFT ORDER: WILL BE DETERMINED RANDOMLY BY Usports.com. Once we all log in for the LIVE DRAFT . . .just 20 minutes prior to the first picking team being on the clock: is when the order will finally be known. The Draft Order snakes back and forth from each round. If you pick 10th, you pick 11th and not again until pick #30. If you pick First, you pick 20th and 21st. There is a 2 min. draft clock, but I think most picks will take less than 1 min. Because we enter the season with a Roster of 34 players . . Drafting all 34 rounds in one NIGHT would take too long time for most guys taste. For this reason the draft will be a 2 stage event:
Stage 1 (the LIVE DRAFT rounds 1-25), SAT AUGUST 16th
stage 2 (the Drafting of rounds 26-34 via message board) Sun 17th-wed 27th (how that works exactly, you can find out if you go into the league site and read my more detailed information about it.)

Usports.com charges you 11.95 for a team($15 in you wait until August). Beyond that, it costs nothing. (winner will be mailed the League Trophy for winning this league.) If your already in a college fantasy league, your way ahead of the game as you are practically ready for this draft (since it likely occurs later than yours and you already A-have your own Big Board, and B-have seen how a Draft has played out!

League Info:  12 MEN ON THE FIELD LEAGUE

We are looking for College fantasy football fans to join our fantasy league. IT WILL BE A 10 TEAM LEAGUE (2 Five team divisions/ 4 teams make the playoffs)This league will have a LIVE DRAFT (redraft-all 120 D-1 schools/players) with a RANDOM DRAFT ORDER that once set will snake (meaning if you have the 10th pick(last pick of R1), will will have pick 11 . . (first pick of R2)

That means you have an equal/fair shot at Pick 1 (Graham Harrell of course). Let me address what if I were you, would be my #1 conern: This will be a completely fair and fun league . . .I promise! If so rule doesn't work for you, we can discuss it, and we will take votes on such things as if a trade should be allowed ect.

How the League works and how it varies from the standard fantasy league:

12 MEN ON THE FIELD refers to the fact that our league features 12 STARTING SPOTS to fill in your teams lineup each week. The standard fantasy league has 6-9 starting spots from a total roster of 15. 15 players is not really enough players to cover a college season. Because of that, CF football tends to be about picking up a ton of free agents week to week. OUR LEAGUE WILL NOT BE LIKE THIS. HOW?
1. instead of 15 man rosters, we will have 29 man rosters and each team (once the season starts:aug. 28th) will have only 2 Free agent pickups for the entire 13 week season. (week 14 and 15 are the playoffs)

2. there will be no additional Injury Replacement so your 2 FA pickups will need to be used very wisely. Picking up a FA requires you to cut a player.

3. you will not be able to pick up a FA Defensive unit. You will be drafting 3 DEF units . . .and since you can't hurt an entire unit there will be no reason. Allowing free agent DEF unit pickups GREATLY DEVALUES the nation's top DEF units . . .and makes drafting them is washed out by FA match up playing def. (uses say a Non-drafted Miami def at home vs Vandy is a better match up than say USC at VA)

Likewise, Kickers as played the same way via FA and devalued. But in our league you won't pick up a FA kicker unless say 2 of 3 rostered Krs go down INJed (very unlikely). Also, FGs are valued for distance: 3 for 39 or less, 4 for 40+ FG, 6 points for +50 yard FG . . . which allows kickers to earn a few more points but moreso the added points distinguish a Xtra point machine(say a Texas Tech kicker) and a true college kicker who makes 18+ FGs in the season. . . including a couple long ones. The real better Kicker is rewarded more than in a standard league.

The same can be said for TE's: They will have more value. Reliable QB have more value in that with 10 teams in the league(50 total rostered QB's)there won't be put a couple of QB's worth picking up out there since you really can't afford to use a FA move on a spot QB start.

limiting Free Agency actually makes the Draft far more meaningful . . .which is such a plus in what really happens in Fantasy football. You prepare, you draft, and then the guy who wins in the guy who was lucky enough to pick up the "out of nowhere" stat studs and play the matchup game through Free Agency. In real football, you don't break training camp with a certain roster and by midseason your able to pick up a stud like K Moreno walking down the street . . .that doesn't happen. Though it will happen in our league for a few elite stat rising stars, we each have only 2 FA moves, so we can't just jump out and get a guy in week 2 as we need to reserve our moves for an INJ to a Rostered Stud.

THE ROSTER LINEUP:
each team

5 QB's (start 2 each wk)
7 RB's (start 3 each wk)
8 WR's (start 4 each wk)
3 TE's (start 1 each wk)
3 Kers (start 1 each wk)
3 DEF U(start 1 each wk)

note: We will not be able to use a player if his team is playing a D-2 team . . . this coupled with the very limited Free Agency is the REASON WHY WE HAVE SUCH LARGE ROSTERS.

Also, the actual play of the fantasy game improves as with more Roster spots to fill . . .winning is even more based on your ability to manage the deeper part of your roster (more choices to make).

THE POINT SYSTEM:

we will use the standard Fantasy football point system as changes it MAKES IT UNFAIR to incoming players (alter the system, and the value of player/positions greatly shift.) Basically, you wouldn't be able to use this site to rank players as the "expected fantasy values" would be all out of wack. For example is QB passing TD's were but to 6 pnts(made the same as RB/WR tds are 6), then QB's (especiall NON-running QB's) would be far more valuable than what you would expect from having played say pro fantasy. That is not the case. Expect QB's to be worth how they are in the pros but a little more valuable if they are say a Spread QB or if he can run. That is why Graham Harrell has to be the 1st pick, with Tebow, LeFevour (central mich) WR Crabtree (so much better than the pack of WRs) are the known top 4 fantasy picks this season (pick your 2-4 ranking of the 3 above)

Note I did buy the extras package from USPORTS so that I could add a few bonuses. If you a really interested, you can Email me and see it then.

PREPARING FOR THE LIVE DRAFT:

you need a list a/your top 50 QB'd, Top 70 RB's
(they get INJed alot!) top 80 WR's, Top 30 TE's, Top 30 Kers, Top 30 DEF units so that your ready for our LIVE DRAFT.

Our League is hosted by the website: "USPORTS"

We will set a Draft Date from one of these 3 dates (depending on when the league fills up: (8/1, 8/8, 8/15 - one of those Fridays to start at 9:30 EST. It looks just like an ESPN mock NFL draft room, a clock, players avail. ranked, and chat ability. Each pick will have 2 mins and the draft will either have 220 to 290 selections (to discus amoungst league members)
that is where you go to look at the league and hopefully you'll join us.

I don't want a dime of your money. But USPORTS Does, $12 for the season if you sign up before 7/31 and $15 if you sign up in August. FYI I paid the $12 for my individual team, and $30 for the upgraded features: Point control, LIVE DRAFT, FA limited, and a few other goodies.

If you are interested in finding out more (have questions or want the league password to view the league setup on the USPORTS site.) Email me: Brian at Neil_Young_plays@yahoo.com

If your looking for a league that FAIR, has more stradegy that normal leagues (deeper roster help washout the effect of superstars like Harrell and Crabtree), a limited FA system that doesn't negate a draft and does NOT have you searching the FA WIRE weekly(a time consumer during the season). . .then please join us . . .this is for you.
