New Mexico has fired head coach Mike Locksley. Defensive coordinator George Barlow will take over as the team's interim coach.

Nothing went right for Locksley while at New Mexico, and this includes both on-field (2-26 record) and off-field (too many incidents to list). In fact, off the top of my head, I can't think of a more disastrous coaching tenure.
