About the FCFI
Since 2005, the college fantasy football market has run three "Expert Leagues" managed by Fantasy College Blitz, Fantasy Oasis, and Athlon Sports.
In 2010, an effort began to consolidate the multiple expert leagues into one--with the idea that the leaders in the market will save time competing in one place,
and thus provide a better overall experience for the expert league and its participants.
Steve Lassan of Athlon Sports, Vince Mullins of Fantasy College Blitz,
and Alex Esselink of College Fantasy Football Insider got together and organized the
league rules, which are very similar to past leagues. They also chose to retain the name
Fantasy College Football Invitational (FCFI) for the league due to its longer heritage in the market.
Each team pays an entry fee of $100.00 per team. After any expenses, all proceeds will go to charity on behalf of the winning team (75%) and runner-up (25%).
League fees will be held by a professional fantasy sports fee management service, LeagueSafe, during the season.
