“He’s a good player,” Michigan running backs coach Fred Jackson said of Fitzgerald Toussaint. “I’ve seen enough. I didn’t have my blinders on.” Toussaint spent last year on the scout team recovering from a broken collarbone.

With he graduations of Brandon Minor and Carlos Brown, the Wolverines will be looking for a new starter this spring.  The candidates are Toussaint, Vincent Smith (out with a torn ACL), Austin White (fr), Michael Shaw, Mike Cox and Stephen Hopkins(fr).
