With court dates pending on running back LaMichael James and quarterback Jeremiah Masoli today, Oregon athletic director Mike Bellotti said there will be a distinction between those that are convicted of misdemeanors and felonies. Not surprisingly, a felony conviction will mean dismissal from the team and loss of scholarship.
James is expected to plea down to misdemeanor charges stemming from his domestic assault case. Masoli is currently being charged with felony theft, but odds are it will be plead down to a misdemeanor as well. We should know more on their status with the football team this afternoon (at least James).
