Middle Tennessee State coach Rick Stockstill has moved wide receiver Malcolm Beyah to cornerback, though he implies that the junior wideout could return to the offense at some point. However, the secondary presents a more immediate team need.
We had high hopes for Beyah and the 2009 Tony Franklin offense, however the junior could only catch a handful of passes last year, due in part to games missed with a thumb injury. With Franklin moving on and Beyah heading over to defense, it's safe to say we're a tad less optimistic about 2010.
