Louisiana Tech tight end Eric Harper could have a breakout year in the pass-heavy offense under Sonny Dykes. Harper will benefit from not lining up as a conventional tight end but rather in the 'Y' receiver position. Outside receivers coach Rob Likens says "He can block defensive ends, he can block linebackers, and then don't let him fool you, because he's fast."
Harper could be this year's Mark Hafner so keep an eye on how he performs, and how many times Steven Ensminger targets him against Grambling State.
