Jock Sanders led all West Virginia wide receivers with eight catches for 71 yards and a touchdown while Tavon Austin chipped in five catches for 90 yards on Saturday against Coastal Carolina.
Quarterback Geno Smith, meanwhile, had a solid debut, throwing for 216 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
Smith had no problem getting the ball into the hands of playmakers like Sanders and Austin against the Chanticleers. These guys will turn into fantasy gold when conference play begins if the offense remains as balanced as it was on Saturday.
