As the Texas Longhorns head to spring break, quarterback Connor Wood may have a bit more to celebrate than Case McCoy. After working out with Tom Brady's personal quarterback coach, Wood appears to have surpassed McCoy as the number two quarterback. However, offensive coordinator Bryan Harsin has only established a pecking order as a starting point and for not much else, so this is open to plenty of movement.
Wood seems to have more natural ability than McCoy and could keep climbing the depth chart this spring. In fact there are whispers that he could soon pass last year's starter Garrett Gilbert.
