Memphis to spread things out a bit

Memphis, who ran the pro-style offense last season, will switch to a spread like what they ran under Tommy West.  Current head coach Larry Porter says "We want to be in a position where we can keep (opposing defenses) on their heels."

While the Tigers have a decent quarterback to work with in Ryan Williams, they don't have much wide receiver talent behind Marcus Rucker now that Jermaine McKenzie has asked for a release from his scholarship.  Jerrell Rhodes could thrive in the new offense.
