Michigan State tight end Dion Sims has been reinstated into the university after a one-year ban stemming from a crime ring he participated in that led to over 100 stolen laptops from Detroit public schools.

Sims could make an impact especially with Brian Linthicum - serving a two-practice suspension - currently in the doghouse after hi recent arrest.  Garrett Celek will open spring practice as the starter, but that probably won't be the case come the fall.
