Just after being listed as the starting split end, Arizona State wide receiver T.J. Simpson injured his knee in Thursday's practice. Head coach Dennis Erickson says it could be a torn ACL and added "We won't know until Saturday, but it doesn't look very good. We'll see. ... They didn't like the looks of it."
Simpson was one of the Sun Devils' best deep threats so if it is indeed a torn ACL, he will be missed for the bulk of the season. Look for George Bell, Aaron Pflugrad, and Gerell Robinson to step up in the Simpson's absence.
