Everyone knows that bruising tailback Alfred Morris is the workhorse for the Florida Atlantic offense, but another horse may have just joined the stable. Damian Fortner has impressed all spring and in the team's latest scrimmage, he ran much bigger than his 5'9, 171 pound size would suggest. Fortner finished the scrimmage with 27 carries for 101 yards and a touchdown.
With a new quarterback under center, the Owls will lean even more on the ground game which bodes well for Morris and means Fortner could see some carries, too.
