When Bryce Brown transferred from Tennessee to Kansas State, many were already hailing him as the next Daniel Thomas even though Thomas wasn't even gone yet. Well this offseason, Brown is going to have to work for the starting job as John Hubert is making a push to be the top back for the Wildcats. Head coach Bill Snyder said recently that "He's being competitive for the No. 1 spot."
Brown will have to beat out Hubert as well as DeMarcus Robinson and Robert Rose to gain the lion's share of the carries. For those who sniff at Hubert's size compared to Brown, one need only look at the most famous K-State back, Darren Sproles, to realize that it doesn't matter how big you are.
