Quarterback Russell Wilson has reportedly been in contact with the Wisconsin Badgers, according to the Journal Sentinel. Other teams that have been mentioned as possible destinations include Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas, Florida and South Carolina. Wilson cannot transfer to an ACC school.
Wilson's minor league baseball season doesn't end until Sept. 5. But if he plans on playing football this fall, he'll need to cut the season short so he can attend a team's August camp. Which probably won't go over too well with the Colorado Rockies organization. Wilson is only batting .226 with the Asheville (N.C.) Tourists through 18 games, which could be a major reason for his renewed desire to return to the gridiron.
