Troy coach Larry Blakeney announced four players will be lost for the 2011 campaign due to academic issues, among them are wide receivers Jamel Johnson and Chip Reeves.
As The Dothan Eagle reports, Johnson and Reeves were the team's top two returning receivers, so these losses will sting. The two combined for 52 catches, 769 yards and eight scores a season ago. It now becomes a free-for-all for two starting jobs in an offense that has proven itself capable for scoring points in recent years.
