Kansas defensive coordinator Carl Torbush has decided to retire, due in part to being recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. DB coach Vic Shealy will take over as primary defensive coordinator.

Thankfully Torbush is expected to make a full recovery following surgery. The coach has been blowing the whistle for over 35 years, with his highest-profile gig coming as head man in Chapel Hill after replacing Mack Brown when Brown headed down to Austin to begin his run with the Longhorns.
