USC redshirt sophomore DB Patrick Hall will undergo surgery for a torn ACL in his left knee later this month. He hurt the knee during a players-only workout two weeks ago and the knee didn't really respond normally, which prompted him to see medical advise -- and the discovery of the ACL tear.
This is his second ACL tear and will force him to miss the entire 2011 season.
