Starting Nevada WR Brandon Wimberly was shot in the stomach early Saturday morning after a fight in downtown Reno. Police told the Reno Gazette-Journal that a group of Nevada football players got into a fight with a second group of people.
The injuries were not considered life-threatening, but the term "life changing" were used by the detective on the case. The WAC freshman of the year in 2009, Wimberly had 41 catches in 2010. The investigation is continuing.
