Colorado State may have found a potential starter at linebacker in transfer Shaquil Barrett, who was without a program after Nebraska-Omaha dropped football as it prepared to join the Summit League.
With a spring knee injury to projected starting LB Michael Kawulok, Barrett's experience and production could land him a starting spot -- or the very least a promiment role with the defense. A year ago he had 8 1/2 sacks and 11 1/2 tackles for loss as the Nebraska-Omaha starting middle linebacker.
