The next transfer to watch, according to the Orlando Sentinel, is Cal quarterback Zach Maynard.  Maynard started his career at Buffalo where, in his only season as the starter, he threw for nearly 2,700 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 14 picks.  Maynard pulled away from Brock Mansion and Allan Bridgford in the race to be the next starting quarterback and looks to bring a more athletic look to the Golden Bears.

Maynard should step right in and perform as there are several speedy playmakers around him in Isi Sofele and his half-brother Keenan Allen.  Maynard will need to cut down on his interceptions and utilize his running ability to help the Bears get over the hump.
