Colorado running back Brian Lockridge may not be ready for the season-opener according to coach Jon Embree. Lockridge is dealing with an ankle injury and Embree said he's the only Buff that might be in danger of missing the opener.
With Rodney Stewart entrenched as the starter, Lockridge figures to be the primary backup. Still, with the way Embree wants to the Buffs to be a tough running team, Lockridge would seem to be in line for some quality touches each game. The ankle is improving, but the process is slow going.
