The Crimson Tide got some good news wnhe linebacker Brent Calloway was cleared by the NCAA to enroll, as long as he completed a summer school class. But the Tide is still waiting on former Ohio State receiver Duron Carter. Carter's admission is being held up for the time being, but it could be cleared in time for classes Friday.
Carter is a big target who could help the Crimson Tide get over the loss of Julio Jones to the NFL. Carter will compete with Darius Hanks and Marquis Maze for passes, but he could also be a nice security blanket for either A.J. McCarron or Phillip Sims.
