The USC defensive tackle position is such that it's rated "great shape" by Espn.com's Ted Miller, one of three DT units to rate the ranking. Christian Tupou, if he comes back healthy, makes this a formidable group with George Uko, DaJohn Harris and a healthy Armond Armstead.
When the Trojan defense has been at its best, it's had great DT play clogging the middle gaps and letting its athletic linebackers and defensive ends chase down things around the corners. It appears Miller thinks the Trojans will be solid there this season.
