Three Big East players were named to the Groza Award preseason watch list last week, an award that's annually given to the nation's best kicker. The three players are: Maikon Bonani (USF), Ross Krautman (Syracuse) and Dave Teggart (Connecticut).
The last Big East player to win the Groza was Louisville's Art Carmody (2005). The three players on the list should come as no surprise, and with Dan Hutchins (Pitt) and Jacob Rogers (Cincinnati) both moving on, one of these three should be the league's best kicker.
