Despite being one of four tight ends in the 2011 recruiting class, Austin Maly is looking to stand out not only amongst incoming freshmen but among all other Badger tight ends.  Maly has stood out from the crowd and has already garnered praise from head coach Bret Bielema regarding his speed and athleticism.  Tight ends coach Joe Rudolph has said that he will scour the incoming class to see if there are any immediate contributors.

Maly could see the field as a pass-catching tight end but will eventually need to put more weight onto his 6'4, 225-pound frame to really make an impact.  Don't look for much production this year, but Maly is a name to file away.
