An interesting look at probable Cal starting QB Zach Maynard and what he brings to the table based on his Buffalo stint. Weaknesses discussed were situational awareness and touch, but one strength given was his ability to run and keep plays alive.
Maynard is still mostly mystery at this point, but heads into fall camp as the likely starter. After years of inconsistent play from Kevin Riley, the Cal quarterback spot needs someone who can keep the offense moving and limit mistakes. Time will tell if Maynard is that guy.
