After transferring from Florida before ever taking a snap, running back Mike Blakely transferred to Auburn where he hoped to receive a waiver from the NCAA and play right away. Unfortunately, Blakely was not granted his waiver and will redshirt in 2011 as he waits to be eligible next season.
Now Blakely will have a year to learn the new system and should be a factor in the backfield.
