Oregon tight end Brandon Williams will be forced to miss his senior season due to lingering injuries. A JUCO all-American, Williams played in 11 games last year and was expected to make a bigger contribution this season.

The Oregon press release termed the injury "chronic," but that's about all the info we have. With Williams gone, David Paulson is the only viable tight end quantity on the roster, so highly-touted freshman Colt Lyerla may get a chance to have an impact this season.
