Syracuse, who completed their third practice of fall camp on Sunday, should welcome back a pair of sophomore running backs within a week or so. Prince-Tyson Gulley (who was stabbed in an off-campus altercation) and Steve Rene (infection in right arm) should be able to join practice within the next week. Gulley watched practice in sweats while Rene is back on campus.
The return of Gulley (within 5-8 days) is big as he's the anticipated backup to senior Antwone Bailey while also factoring in the return game. Rene should add depth at the position as well.
