Phil Miller of The Star Tribune deemed Minnesota freshman wide receiver Marcus Jones "a quick study" and thinks he will have a chance to see the field early as the Gophers look for receiving threats to emerge.
While we don't expect Jerry Kill and Co. to go crazy through the air, Minnesota is in dire need of guys who can't catch it and run. Jones is one to watch, but he's likely a year away from consistent production.
