While much has been made about what West Virginia should be able to do through the air, they'll still need to move the ball on the ground. One of the running backs in the race for the starting job is Ryan Clarke, who is also trying to shake the label of "fumbler." Clarke's biggest fumble came in overtime of the Mountaineers' loss at UConn, a game that cost them a BCS bid.
There's one less player in the running for the job as Daquan Hargrett has decided to transfer, and while he's listed as a fullback, Clarke is the most experienced returnee. But he has to take better care of the football in order to stay on the field.
