Sophomore linebacker Tariq Allen, who left Texas in January with the intention of transferring, is back with the Longhorns as a walk-on without a scholarship.
Allen may have seen how many players are dropping like flies and wanted to see if he could get in the mix and earn some playing time. Still, the Longhorns have two of the best linebackers in the conference in seniors Emmanuel Acho and Keenan Robinson, so Allen's return shouldn't have much impact on this season.
