California wide receiver Kaelin Clay underwent meniscus surgery on his knee late Monday. He's expected to be sidelined about three weeks. Clay tweaked his knee Saturday and was on crutches Monday morning.

The injury isn't considered serious and the surgery minor, but that's certainly going to put him back in the wide receiver pack moving forward, particularly with senior Michael Calvin finally healthy and making plays in camp.
