Wyoming's first scrimmage Tuesday had quarterback Brett Smith tearing it up. Smith hit on 24-of-28 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns to go along with no picks for the day. Smith looked confident, displayed a strong arm and made good decisions all day.
The Cowboys will have another scrimmage Friday, and if Smith puts it together again, it will be hard to imagine that challenger Adam Pittser (9-of-20 on the day) will be able to chase him down.
