USC coach Lane Kiffin said that if he had to pick a most valuable player of camp to this point, his vote would go to senior wide receiver Brandon Carswell.
With so many bodies looking to get on the end of Matt Barkley passes, Carswell's effort and recognition by the head guy is a good sign heading toward the season-opener. Keep an eye on Carswell to see if the props from Kiffin turn into a lot of playing time.
