West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith is still learning thanks to a new system and has competition coming from freshman Paul Millard. Smith is the clear favorite to win the starting nod but head coach Dana Holgorsen seems to have no problem with keeping him on edge. The coach noted on Wednesday that Smith may need to be grounded a bit.
Doesn't seem like this is an issue. More of making sure that the incumbent doesn't get complacent if anything. Smith will be fine and should excel in the new offense.
