While the wide receivers have struggled in fall camp West Virginia's running backs have performed well thus far. While head coach Dana Holgorsen didn't single out any performers at the position on Wednesday he was please with the work, and nothing has been decided in that battle. Ryan Clarke is the most experienced competitor at the position but the Mountaineers have a number of options they're looking at.
Simply put Holgorsen wants the best players on the field, so there could be room for more than one back on the field at a time according to WVIllustrated.com. At the very least it's good that all involved have raised their level of play in the competition.
