Redhawks backfield a jumbled mess

Miami (OH) is taking a look at as many as ten different running backs this fall.  Getting the most reps currently are former linebacker Erik Finklea and converted fullback Justin Semmes.

It's an interesting conundrum head coach Don Treadwell finds himself in.  The Redhawks are expected to compete for a conference title, and their backfield returns a total of 90 career rushing yards.  The winner of the Zac Dysert/Austin Boucher battle looks like a one man wrecking crew right now, but if a true back can emerge, he'll see his fair share of scoring chances.  Semmes has me intrigued as a touchdown vulture.  He's worth adding to your watch list for a little while.
